Meticulous Concern

One April day in Juche 103 (2014) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Songdowon International Children’s Camp before its re-opening after the end of the renovation project.

Just when Kim Jong Un was heading for the newly-built outdoor playground, the officials asked him to go there by car.

He told them that there was no need for him to go by car in such a beautiful camp, and walked to the playground.

He said with a smile that it looked very good as the shades over the spectators’ seats were finished in blue colour as befitting a camp on the seashore, and enjoyed the view of the playground. And he continued: The artificial turf on the playground, the spectators’ seats and the wave-shaped, blue shades are in good harmony. Their colours and shapes perfectly blend with one another.

As if he was picturing in his mind’s eye the children who would be playing there, he said it seemed we were carrying on construction to experience such a feeling.

Reminding themselves of the tireless efforts Kim Jong Un made to have the camp renovated into a children’s palace with no parallel in the world, the officials were unable to suppress their surging emotion.

Kim Jong Un showed meticulous concern for every aspect of the playground, proposing to arrange a football match of boys on the day of inauguration of the camp, install towers of light projection so that children could play football even at night, and change the colour of tracks.

Thanks to his benevolent care, the Songdowon International Children’s Camp made its appearance as a wonderful palace of the children.
